Synopsis
I was not sure if I was going to like this movie, however, by the end I was deeply moved and even cried. With the death of both of their parents two brothers are forced to live and provide for themselves. The older brother takes care of his younger brother Naoki; he works a labor intense job just to put food on the table and to make sure Naoki can stay in school. The older brother's dream is simple: he wants Naoki is go to university and live a happy life without regrets. However, the timing and fate for these two brothers is against them. The older brother hurts his back while working and is no longer able to work. In a desperate attempt to get the tuition money for Naoki, the older brother breaks into an elderly woman's house in search of cash. In a matter of seconds the robbery goes bad and a woman is killed accidently and the brother is sent to jail for life. Naoki is now left alone to fend for himself and carry the burden of his brother's murder. This movie will show you the true test of love and family. Naoki tries to live his life while constantly being discriminated against and hiding from his past. His brother tries to keep living locked awhile in a cell at such a young age.
